Prof. Dr. Georg Rainer Hofmann

Prof. Dr. Georg Rainer Hofmann joined the University of Applied Sciences Aschaffenburg in November 1996 and works as a professor for “Information Management”.

He holds a “Diplom- Informatiker” degree, after studying computer science and economics at the Technical University of Darmstadt (TUD) from 1982 until 1986. Since 1993 he also serves as a speaker of “Software- and Service-Markt” for the German Computer Society, German Chapter of the ACM, works as a Co-editor of the German scientific journal “Information Management” since 2004 and also is a Speaker of the KG “E-Commerce & Digital Markets” for the Eco – Verband der Internetwirtschaft e.V.



Prof. Dr. Alexandra Angress

Prof. Dr. Alexandra Angress teaches Business English, Intercultural Project Management and courses on the EU and intercultural business communication. She is also the international coordinator of the faculty of Business Administration and Law. Prior to that, she coordinated several EU projects for a private training institute before joining the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in Bonn for several years. Besides her teaching qualification she holds a Master degree from Sidney Sussex
 College, University of Cambridge U.K.
Alexandra Angress studied and then worked as assistant professor at the College of Europe, Bruges/Belgium whilst completing her PhD on EU education and training policies. Currently she is also an advisor and evaluator for the EU and the DAAD in the field of internationalization and higher education policies and programs.

Marcel Rother

Marcel Rother is a lecturer at the University of Applied Science Hochschule Aschaffenburg. His teaching areas cover business mathematics, law and business in the EU and conducted simulation games regarding negotiations in the EU multiple times.

He is member of the international summer school project team for already several years now and has international teaching experience from projects e.g. in Finland, USA and Taiwan. Moreover he works in the family-owned enterprise which is specialized in IT and printing.

Prof. Dr. Ludger Schneider-Störmann

University of Applied Sciences Aschaffenburg

Prof. Dr. Ludger Schneider-Störmann is responsible for the study program International Technical Sales Management at the UAS Aschaffenburg. He looks back on more than 10 years of experience in worldwide sales. His customers came from USA, Japan, Israel and other places.

Schneider-Störmann was founding the Academic Association of Sales Engineering (AASE) uniting more than 20 European universities with Sales Engineering programs. His expertise is acknowledge by Germany’s largest association of engineers, the VDI where, he is chairman of two expert committees and co-author of the guideline “Product Management.



Prof. Dr. Kristina Balleis

Prof. Dr. Kristina Balleis is a law professor at the Faculty of Economics and Law at the University of Applied Sciences Aschaffenburg, Germany, which she joined in 2002.
After a year abroad in Paris/France (1987/88) she studied for the bar in Passau/Germany with additional training in French and Spanish law.

After her doctor of laws (1995) and her legal clerkship she worked six years as a lawyer in Bamberg/Germany. With her colleague Alexandra Angress she wrote two volumes on English civil law. At the university she teaches civil law, public law, EU law and international law. Her research focuses on EU law.



Anne-Maria Aho

Ms. Anne-Maria Aho has over ten years’ experience as a business consultant alongside her role as Head of Master’s Degree Programmes in International Business in Seinäjoki UAS. Besides her work as a lecturer, she carries out research and development projects and offers consulting for enterprises in the field of business skills development and RDI processes, strategic management and service business.

Ms. Anne-Maria Aho holds a Master’s Degree and a Licentiate’s Degree in Economics (management and organizations) and a Doctorate in Economics (industrial management) from the University of Vaasa. She also holds a post-degree teaching certificate from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Teacher Education.



Steve Burrows

Mr. Steve Burrows has business experience with Anheuser – Busch Inc. for 30 years. His last position was as Ceo – International before he retired in 2008. His lecture deals with the actual strategic framework used by Anheuser – Busch International to develop business expansion and operating strategy.



Prof. Dr. Pei Wang-Nastansky

During the past 20 years, Prof. Pei Wang-Nastansky has lived and worked in the US, China, and Germany. She would like to share her decades of experiences and insights of the business environment in modern China as well as the negotiation strategies with Chinese business partners. This topic will be explored in relation to Chinese history, its cultural context and practical tactics for western business managers.
