DAAD - STIBET Scholarships

Aschaffenburg University of applied sciences provides scholarships for exchange students from partner universities within the DAAD - STIBET program and financed by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany (upon reservation of granting by the DAAD).

Deutschland Stipendium

The Deutschland Stipendium is a scholarship for high-achieving students of all nationalities studying at German universities. For more information, please see the programme website (in German).

ERASMUS scholarship

Students participating in the ERASMUS exchange programme (German website) - exchange students coming to Aschaffenburg from other European universities, including from Switzerland, Norway, and Iceland - can receive an Erasmus scholarship from their home university. This applies only to exchange students – if you are coming for a full degree programme from a European country, you are not eligible for an Erasmus scholarship. Please contact the international office at your home university for more details on how to apply.

BAföG - Federal Financial Aid

BAföG, or the German Federal Training Assistance Act, is a law that provides assistance to students, including international students. If you plan to come to Aschaffenburg UAS as a degree-seeking student, you should check first to see if you meet any of the following criteria for receiving BAföG funding:

  • You are an international student who qualifies for asylum
  • You are an international student with a parent or spouse who is a German national (which means you have been granted permanent residence)
  • You are an international student whose parents have been and continue to be employed in Germany for the last three years
  • You are an international student who has been employed in Germany for the last five years
