Language of instruction: German and English

As international competition becomes ever fiercer, the areas of marketing and sales, will grow in importance, especially in the case of technically demanding industrial goods that require detailed explanation to customers. Companies with a strong technological position - as is typical of many German industrial companies - will therefore in future need sales staff who are as equally qualified in technology as they are in sales management. On the one hand, such employees should have sound knowledge of engineering sciences in order to provide professional advice to potential customers, who generally have a high level of technical understanding. On the other hand, they also require a sound knowledge of management and marketing to position complex technical products successfully on the market. Finally, the ability to negotiate securely in a foreign language is essential for performance at an international level. It is precisely these areas that are the focus of training on the International Technical Sales Management degree programme.

Programme structure

Small class sizes and close contact with the dedicated team of professors creates a more personal atmosphere on the course. The numerous and interesting lab experiments provide you with practice-based learning which equips you with the knowledge you will need in the future. You perform all lab experiments first-hand, so you can consolidate the theoretical contents of the course. The project work, which involves you working on an application-based project with other students, enables you to familiarise yourself thoroughly with industrial working methods.

Programme contents and specialisation areas
This programme combines a basic education in engineering sciences with a sound knowledge of business administration, especially in the area of marketing and sales, and provides the necessary foreign language skills. Graduates gain the necessary qualifications for a career at home or abroad not only in the area of sales, but also in the conception of high-quality technical products and system solutions.
In the 6th and 7th semesters, you choose a sales-oriented specialisation area:

  • Sales Management
  • International Sales (taught in English)

Practical training
You will study in a new building complex on campus, which houses ultra-modern computer and laboratory equipment that guarantees a state-of-the-art education. A computer centre with high-performance connection to the science network is available to all students on the programme. The various languages on offer at Aschaffenburg comprehensively prepare you for a world of work where globalisation and internationalisation have become critical factors. We have cooperation agreements with European and non-European universities which offer you the opportunity to gain experience abroad during your course of study. Students have the opportunity to acquire their first professional experience in the work placement semester.
