University enters into cooperation with Business Academy Aarhus

Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences is expanding its network of international partners by establishing a partnership with Business Academy Aarhus in Denmark. Representatives of the two universities have signed a cooperation agreement to this effect. The agreement enables students at the Faculty of Business and Law to spend a semester at the partner institution in Denmark and allows Danish students to come to Aschaffenburg. There are also plans to intensify exchanges between lecturers and administrative staff on both sides.

Business Academy Aarhus is the 56th partner university of Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences. "We are very pleased to have gained another Scandinavian university partner", says Prof. Alexandra Angress, Officer for Foreign Relations at the Faculty of Business and Law, who initiated the cooperation together with her colleagues in Aarhus. Aarhus is situated in the east of the Midtjylland region and is Denmark's second largest city with a population of some 260,000.

The Danish university representatives are also very pleased to have signed the cooperation agreement: "We at Business Academy Aarhus/University of Applied Sciences are delighted with this new Erasmus partnership with Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences. German higher education institutions are very popular with Danish students and we hope that students will soon spend a semester in Aschaffenburg. We also look forward to welcoming Aschaffenburg students to Aarhus – Denmark’s second city and a vibrant student city. We have a strong tradition of welcoming exchange students and integrating them into existing international teams consisting of Danish as well as international students".

Cooperation with the Danish university will take place under the EU education programme ERASMUS+. This enables students to spend a semester abroad without having to pay fees and with financial support from the EU.
